The difference between folding molding PVC sheet and vacuum molding PVC sheet

Folding molding PVC sheet and vacuum molding PVC sheet are rigid sheets based on polyvinyl chloride (PVC) material, but they have some differences in use, manufacturing process and characteristics. 

Uses and applications: 

Folding molding PVC sheet: usually used to make various types of folding boxes, box packaging, folders, etc. Due to its folding properties and stiffness, it is ideal for making product packaging that requires folding storage.

Vacuum molding PVC sheet: mainly used for vacuum blister processing, made into three-dimensional, fit product shape plastic containers, packaging, display shelves, etc. This PVC sheet usually needs better plasticity and adaptability to adapt to various shapes and curves.

Manufacturing process:

Folding molding pvc film: extrusion process is usually used in the manufacturing process, the melted PVC material is extruded into sheets, and then the required size of the rigid sheet is made through cooling, cutting and other steps.

Vacuum molding PVC film: The manufacturing process involves vacuum blister technology. First, the PVC sheet is heated to soften it, and then it is affixed to the mold. Next, by creating negative pressure inside the mold, the PVC sheet is pressed against the mold surface to form the desired product shape. Finally, the material is solidified through a cooling process so that it retains the desired shape. 

Features and performance:    

Folding molding PVC sheet: Usually more attention is paid to hardness and rigidity in order to maintain the shape during the folding process, while providing a certain degree of durability and protection.

Vacuum blister grade PVC hard sheet: pay more attention to plasticity and deformation properties to adapt to a variety of different shapes and curves. This PVC hard sheet can be molded into a variety of complex three-dimensional shapes after heating and softening.
